There is a difference between climate change and extreme weather. climate change refers to the long term of change whereas extreme weather refers to the short term change. The most common extreme weather change in the united state would be; flooding, hurricanes, heatwaves, droughts, thunderstorms, tornadoes... there is much more but these are the more common ones that came to mind. extreme weather is something that can happen from one day to the next but can also be cleared up from one day to the next in some exceptions. I'll focus on toreadors for this blog. The States that are most affected by them are; Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska. there are other states that are affected by these but these are the most common ones since they fall under the "tornado ally". Tornados form when moist warm air clashes with dry cold air and creates an unstable atmospheric conditions, rotating winds.

The NOAA and the national weather service use various warning systems to alter not only the residents of said states but also the scientists who can then predict the severiity of the tornado. These weather agencies  use radar systems, weather models. The residents of the States are then warned with emergency alert systems, mobile notifications but most importantly sirens. The migration efforts for tornados are; storm shelters, reinforced safe rooms, emgergancy kits. The efforts are different from person to person since some homes don't have the storm shelter so they have different migration options versus the person who does have a storm shelter in their home.
