Hello class, my name is Brenda Bautista. The country I've chosen to focus on during the  semester is the United States. Ive chosen the United States because it's our home and I rather know about my home and understand it a lot better than any other country. Choosing my home country was easy because it's more interesting knowing what happens in my own country where as somewhere else.  After veiwng the powerpoint slides and understanding them, ive gotten a better understanding on what's the difference between a hazards, disasters vs catastrophes. Natural hazards have two different catorgeries. Natural processes and natural hazards. Natural processes becomes hazardous when the humans are in the surrounding areas as in like earthquakes where people live and or volcanoes in Hawaii. A natural hazard starts off as a natural processes but then can turn into a natural hazard when there is a slight chance that there is threat to humans.  A disaste...
